MSc Computer Security and Forensics
Mode: full-time (September start)

To take advantage of the award students need to have a substantial knowledge of a computing related discipline.

There is also a focus on research methodologies, including issues relating to ethical hacking and legal aspects.

Entry requirements

• For standard entry, applicants should have a good honours degree or equivalent qualifications, or a post-graduate qualification, in a computer science or other science related subject area, with a significant (generally one third or more) element in computing.
• Example subjects may be first awards in physics, mathematics, computer or information science/systems, electronics or computer engineering.
• Professionals or employees only wishing to pursue CPD via our Postgraduate individual taught modular scheme are also allowed to enrol for a Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate.
• For mature applicants with non-standard academic profiles, entry and exemption on the basis of Accreditation by Prior Learning, certificated or experiential (APL/APEL) is available.

Special entry requirements

For international students, evidence of sufficient skill in English is required, with a minimum requirement being an IELTS score of 6.0, a TOEFL score of 580, or an equivalent score in TELAS, the University of Bedfordshire's own testing scheme.
