*Explain the function of a computer.
*Demonstrate skills in the operation of MS-DOS necessary for the routine maintenance of computer files for a specified workplace situation.
*Determine the scope and applications of computers in industry.
*Evaluate appropriate applications for commonly available software used in computer
systems.
*Evaluate appropriate applications for commonly available peripherals used in personal
computer systems.
*Demonstrate the ability to operate a personal computer.
*Analyse the computer needs of a selected workplace situation to specify computer system components appropriate to the requirements of that situation.
*Develop a procedure to manage computer use in the learner's appropriate industry.
