The BTEC Level 3 Nationals in IT provides a broad base of Computing knowledge and applications for learners wishing to enter a career as an IT practitioner or technician in the area of Computer Systems, Spreadsheet Modelling, Information Systems, Website production and Digital Graphics. The qualification also provides opportunities to progress to Higher Education vocational qualifications such as BTEC Higher National Diploma in Applied Computing or a full-time degree in Applied Computing.

Programme Features:

Provides education and training for IT practitioners employed in systems support, analysis and design, software testing, network administration etc. Recognised progression route to Higher Education - HND or Degree in Computing. Sound underpinning knowledge of computer theory with practical application. All Units are assessed through coursework.
