Programme Description:
The BTEC Level 3 Nationals in IT provides a broad base of Computing knowledge and applications for learners. Students can study 60 to 180 credits, from Subsidiary Diploma to the full Extended Diploma. It is assessed entirely by coursework. It is suitable for 16-19 year old students wishing to work in the IT field or progress to higher education in this area.

The BTEC Level 3 Nationals in IT provides a broad base of Computing knowledge and applications for learners wishing to enter a career as an IT practitioner or technician in the area of Computer Systems, Spreadsheet Modelling, Information Systems, Website production and Digital Graphics. The qualification also provides opportunities to progress to Higher Education vocational qualifications such as BTEC Higher National Diploma in Applied Computing or a full-time degree in Applied Computing.
