Tresham offers the HND in Computing in association with De Montfort University . You will develop your computing knowledge and technical skills to enable you to analyse needs, design, construct and implement computer based systems within a project team for a commercial, public sector or industrial environment. Study modules include:

Year One:

  • Systems Analysis and Design
  • Programming
  • Computer Technology

Year Two:

  • Computing Project
  • Object Orientated Programming
  • Interactive Systems Design and Evaluation
  • Entertainment and Games Computing

Assessment There is a strong emphasis on work related skills, proficiency in oral and written communication and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team and these are assessed as part of a continual assessment through assignment process. Some modules are assessed through examination. To be successful 10-12 hours study outside class is necessary. Progression
This course will lead to employment in a variety of computing areas. Students with appropriate achievement will have the opportunity to progress to the BSc (Hons) at De Montfort University, Leicester.
