Level 1 course aimed at introducing students to skills and techniques to enable them to progress onto higher levels. This exciting course uses a range of mobile devices and software to create and edit photographs, animation, web design, audio and video elements as well as using some of the more traditional IT packages.
A basic introduction to programming is also taught. Alternative methods for collecting evidence are used throughout the courses, with students being given a choice of these to enable them to take some ownership of their own learning. Team building and fund raising are built into the course to enhance employability skills.
Students also work towards gaining qualifications in literacy and numeracy, with extra support available where needed. Due to the structure of these courses there is sometimes an opportunity for January enrolment to complete the Certificate...
