Course Overview
Equivalent for the first year of a Degree programme, this course is ideal for those who want to be able to earn while they develop higher level knowledge and skills for the future.

Course Structure
This is a two-year programme and attendance will be one day a week: Tuesday from 9.15am 6.15pm.

The course is delivered in ten units; five of which are taken in the first year and five in the second.

The programme includes:
  • Systems Analysis
  • Computer Networking
  • Website Design
  • PC Hardware
  • Visual Programming
  • Database design & information systems

BTEC Higher National Certificate in Computing (General)

Assessments/Examinations
The assessment process uses a variety of methods including case studies,assignments, time-controlled assessments, practical laboratory sessions and individual research projects.

Cost / Equipment
Tuition & Registration fee:£650 per year

£25 (non-refundable) payment towards the cost of stationery and consumables (£50 in total).

Students can apply for a Student Loan and/or grant to help pay for the course.
