Computing - Computer Science Extended Certificate (Level 2)

You will study a number of different BTEC units over one year: The Online World Technology Systems A Digital Portfolio Creating Digital Graphics Computer Networks Website Development Installing and Maintaining Computer Software Multimedia Products Development As part of your course you will also complete these qualifications: Internet Safety Cisco IT Essentials You also will be required to work towards a GCSE or a Functional Skills in English or Mathematics You will develop a wide range of IT skills and knowledge to help further your studies. This course involves a broad range of units from working with computer hardware and networking to designing a website. The course runs at our Technology Campus. A minimum of 4 GCSE passes at Grade D or above; to include both English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent qualifications). On successful completion of this course and passing English and Maths you may progress to Computer Science and Networking Level 3; or you may progress to other Computing courses at Level 3 or apply for IT Apprenticeship.
