Additional Information: This course is about the science of computing and contains a lot of theory. You will be learning how computers work and how they are programmed from a scientific perspective.

COURSE OUTLINE

• The design, organisation and development of computer systems.
• Technical background knowledge to support your study of computer systems.
• The course is designed to encourage you to develop your problem-solving skills and computational thinking.
• You will need to put the theory of designing computer software systems into practice in A2 to produce a project for your coursework unit (worth 20% of the final overall grade).

Computer Components, The Stored Program Concept and The Internet (written paper with short answer questions).

The Computing Practical Project (coursework).
