Confined Space Working Search & Rescue Training Course

Successful completion will result in certification for a maximum of 3 years (certification periods may be shorter, depending on individual company's policy).
A re-assessment will continue the certification, if undertaken within the 36-month period.
The successful delegate will be deemed competent to enter a confined space.

MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Candidates should be free of medical conditions which are contraindications for this type of
work, including:
· Heart disease / chest pain
· High blood pressure
· Epilepsy, fits, blackouts
· Fear of heights / vertigo
· Giddiness / difficulty with balance
· Impaired limb function
· Alcohol or drug dependence
· Psychiatric illness / counselling
· Diabetes
- Candidates should be physically able to perform the task expected in terms of strength,
agility and co-ordination. They should also be able to withstand the stress of the working
environment such as heat, cold and inclement weather.
- It is recommended that all personnel employed to climb or use rope access techniques
should be medically fit to perform the work that they are likely undertake, and that a
suitable medical should be carried out to confirm this.
