Conflict Management
This is a level 2 vocational qualification training.
The guiding principle of Conflict Management is that you should always seek to avoid being involved in confrontational situations.
This course looks at the methods that can be used to reduce the risk of conflict in the working environment and how to deal with and difuse potentially violent situations.
The course content:
- Avoiding Conflict and Reducing Risk: Outlining basic behaviour patterns and normal body reactions. Common causes of conflict and deciding on a course of action.
- Defusing conflict: Understanding the barriers to communication and the various types of verbal and non-verbal communication. How to manage and difuse anger and aggression.
- Resolving conflict: Using skills and understanding learned. Using Empathy and problem solving skills.
- Learning from Conflict: Reporting on an incident at work. Support when dealing with conflict. Reflecting and learning from mistakes.
