Description
Prevent and manage conflict. Do you need to understand the causes of conflict within your workplace? Can you recognise the signs of conflict emerging in a team situation and nip it in the bud to prevent it affecting your productivity? Do you know how to control your own anxieties, anger and fear in a conflict situation?
Course Content
· Exploring what are the conflict situations in your company and how they are currently dealt with
· Exploring generic sources of conflict such as employment relationships, competition of scarce resources, ambiguity over responsibility and authority, interdependence and differentiation
· Working with strategies and techniques for overcoming or minimising conflict
· Understanding your personal preferences using the Thomas Kilman model/questionnaire
· Using case studies/role plays to apply learning
Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
