Description:
This is a varied course that will help you gain the essential skills and knowledge you need to work in brickwork, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating, brickwork, plumbing or plastering.

You will learn about:
· health and safety
· handling, storing and protecting materials
· preparing materials for applications, removing and replacing components
· assembling components
· surface finishes
· construction activities
· construction drawing.

You will also develop your skills in communication, using numbers and information technology.

Progression:
National traineeships and modern apprenticeships in construction or a construction award in a specific trade.

Entry Requirements:
Interview and assessment.

3 hours per week for 30 weeks
