What will I study?
The Construction Diploma is a College based qualification and can lead to an NVQ. All units are topped up into NVQ units once you find a job in the trade as a Carpenter or Joiner.
How can I progress?
*Students can go onto an Construction Diploma level 3 or a National Vocational Qualification level 3 if they get a job *Further progression onto a BTEC National course in construction is possible.

Course Structure
In order to gain a full Level 2 Construction Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery these units will be studied; *Load and unload resources, *Contribute to erecting and dismantling working platforms, *Contribute to maintaining work relationships, *Set up and use power tools, *Maintain and use woodworking hand tools, *Form basic woodworking joints, *Maths, *English, *Information Technology, *Tutorial, *Practical, *Theory. Students will be expected to provide their own pen, pencil, scale ruler, calculator, eraser, steel toe capped boots and overalls (if required).
