Programme Description:
This programme will give learners a broad range of knowledge, understanding and skills required as a foundation for a career in technical and/or managerial roles within the construction industry. Students have the opportunity to apply what they learn in a practical and realistic way.
The course provides a programme of study manageable in a year so that learners can bank, and then build on their achievement.
It encourages progression for those learners who wish to undertake a one year course of study because of individual circumstances.
However, the 90 credits achieved count towards the 180 credits required to complete the Extended Diploma in Construction Technology at level 3 if the student wishes to progress.

About this course

Progression and Employment:
The course gives access to many career pathways/roles in the public or private sector such as site engineer, quantity surveyor, building surveyor and architect technologist.
Students can progress onto year two of programme with an Extended Diploma outcome or on completion of year two can progress to a university degree, HND, FdSC, HNC, Higher Apprenticeship or full time employment.
