This course allows students who have completed a Foundation degree (or equivalent) to progress to a full Honours Degree.
As a Level 6 student you will learn relevant industry skills and processes, and graduate with a refined and professional portfolio of work. You will work practically through client-led and negotiated briefs that require the recognition and application of professional practice. You will also be aware of professional expectations and be able to develop an independent route towards your individual career or postgraduate goals.
Your tutors will act as facilitators, encouraging discussion and debate on subjects of social and cultural relevance, so that you can identify options and develop effective solutions to meet agreed objectives. Our staff maintain strong links with industry through membership and association with professional organisations, they are practitioners in their field and their aim will be able to assist you in Level 6 to pursue new approaches to your subject as well as develop the transferable and technological skills necessary for you to compete in the changing global environment of contemporary creative practice.

The Computing Science award combines a solid grounding in computing fundamentáis with flexibility and choice. Almost half your course of study is chosen by you. At each level you study core modules to give you an understanding of computing concepts and skills in core technologies and at each level you chose the rest of your modules, allowing you to develop skills and knowledge in the branches of computing that you wish to study. The distinctive element of this programme is that you can créate your own study route, tailoring your choice of option modules to your own interests and abilities. This ensures a good fit between you and your programme of study and allows you to select modules which will support your chosen career. On the Computing Science award you take responsibility for your own learning. With support from the award leader and members of the award team you will be encouraged to identify the computing topics which interest you and the field of computing in which you wish to work. There is a strong emphasis on applying theory and developing practical skills and we encourage all Computing Science students to complete an industrial placement to give them the opportunity to put their skills ¡nto practice in the real world. </div>
