Entry requirements Merit or Distinction in BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design or 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Maths and English, or equivalentAndA recent portfolio of workA good referenceA satisfactory interview 4. Equipment required There is a studio fee for the year of £150 which is payable at the start of the course.The majority of materials are included in the course. While a range of basic materials will be provided you may wish to purchase more specialist fabrics as directed by your projects. There may be additional charges for some additional gallery and museum visits and for smaller materials at certain times. Your tutors will advise you on this. Students with financial difficulties are supported depending on individual circumstances, and Customer Services can provide you with further information. 5. Assessment method As well as completing study at College you will be required to work independently on specific homework tasks or ongoing assignments.For the main qualification in Fashion you will be assessed through completing coursework. Your Maths, English and IT skills, called Functional Skills, are assessed through exams. Upon successful completion, the qualification you will receive (after one year of study) will be BTEC Level 3 90 Credit Diploma in Fashion & Clothing, this leads to the second year BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Fashion and Clothing (after two years of study).
