Continuing Care: Health and Safety

This is part of a series of non-accredited continuing professional development courses for careworkers looking to fulfil the CPD requirements of their position. An important aspect of your role is keeping the people you care for, your co-workers and yourself safe at all times. To do this you need to remove hazards or reduce the risks that might arise in the work environment. This workbook aims to give you a greater understanding of the kind of hazards and risks you may have to deal with. It also aims to make you more familiar with your own setting’s policies and procedures (guiding principles and practical rules) to deal with these.
