Continuing Childcare: Protecting Children
This is part of a series of non-accredited continuing professional development courses for childcare workers looking to fulfil the CPD requirements of their position. The workbook deals with your role in responding to your own and other people’s suspicion that a child is in danger, or at risk of being harmed or abused. You’ll consider ways of identifying significant changes in children’s health and behaviour, as well as signs and symptoms of harm and abuse. The workbook also gives guidance on how to respond to the disclosure of danger, harm and abuse and how to work within child protection procedures. You’ll also explore ways of supporting children who’ve been abused and how to encourage children to keep themselves safe.
