This material is suitable for candidates with a basic knowledge of this area, who are interested in improving their understanding of infection and contamination. You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with full tutor support.

| The assessor/tutor will support the learner throughout the duration of the course. The learner will complete activities and an assignment in order to successfully complete the course. |
| The ASET Level 2 Control of Infection and Contamination VRQ is assessed by internally set and marked assignments, moderated by ASET. The certificate is achieved by completing all of the activities and self-assessment questions relevant to the units in the activities section of the programme. |
| The Level 2 Control of Infection and Contamination VRQ is fully accredited by the National Awarding Body ASET, who is recognised by the department for Education and Skills and by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority in Britain.
