Cookery for Beginners (NCFE Level 1)

Entry requirements: The course is open to beginners or those with experience. Please note this is a level 1 NCFE qualification which means all learners are required to complete a workbook which gives a written account of the practical skills learned. If you need support to complete the written aspect of this course then please make this clear when you enrol. Teaching & Assessment: A variety of teaching strategies will be used: Whole class teaching, group work, paired work and one to one. You will receive both verbal and written feedback from your tutor about your progress on course. You will complete a folder of work, which will be continually assessed by your tutor. This course is very practical and only a small amount of written work is required which can be completed in class time. Progression: Progress to other NCFE Creative Craft level 1 (in different subject) Additional Information: The learner is responsible for any material costs if the course is a practical subject, but all tutors keep the costs of materials as low as possible – between £2.00 - £4.00 a session. Tutors can advise you where to buy low cost materials, or some tutors will provide materials to leaners each week for a small charge. Your tutor will speak to you about materials needed at the first session. Qualification: NCFE Creative Craft Level 1
