2. Course description The aim of the course is to learn to prepare a range of tasty, nutritious meals that you can reproduce at home at a reasonable cost. This course will teach you about tasty home cooking, covering sweet and savoury recipes to appeal to adults and children alike. Learners will be able to identify the skills needed for different recipes and gain confidence in preparing dishes using the skills they have learnt. The course is planned to help you work within a limited budget for ingredients, to keep your cookery costs low.

3. Entry requirements This course is suitable for anyone from beginners to those with some cookery knowledge; an enthusiasm for cooking is definitely an advantage.N.B.. Please do let us know if you have an allergy or food intolerance when you enrol on any one of our cookery courses. This information is important and will ensure the tutor can plan alternative ingredients or recipes where necessary. 4. Equipment required Please wear clothing suitable for working in a hot busy kitchen. Bring an apron, and tea-towels as well as some suitable containers to take food home in. Ingredients will be supplied.You may wish to bring a notepad and pen to take notes, and folder to keep your recipes and notes in. 5. Assessment method Not available
