Course programme

  • Aim of the course:

This course helps participants get on the front foot with negotiations around the big value items in corporate finance deals. The course examines the areas in transactions where the work of the lawyer and specialist accountant or corporate finance advisor collide.

  • Main focus:

This course focuses on certain financial, accounting and commercial elements of deals, including the importance of debt free cash free valuation, the impact of net asset adjustments and completion accounts debates. The program makes sure delegates fully understand the main debates and can recognise when the other side is trying to manipulate the situation to advantage.

  • Methodology:

During the course delegates work in teams to practise levelling detailed arguments against a buyer or seller of a business. Small group interaction and solving real-life case studies are both major components of learning on this program.
