Course Overview
This course aims to develop competence in the use of helping skills following BACP guidelines.

Course Structure
The programme is delivered forty hours, for one afternoon per week on a Monday evening 6.30pm â€" 9.30pm
Qualification Aims
To provide candidates with a sound level of competence in the use of counselling skills which are of immense value in awide variety of settings. Following the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Guidelines, the qualification alerts candidates to the need to apply skills within an ethical framework. A further aim is to heighten and extend personal awareness and development.
Assessments/Examinations
Assessment will be made using
- A portfolio of evidence
- One half hour examination at the end of the course
- Tutorials as required
