CPC Road Haulage

To help you pass two OCR exams and gain a CPC qualification to enable you to operate Road Haulage vehicles over 3.5 tonnes in the UK and Europe

You will need this qualification if you want to become a Transport Manager operating Road Haulage vehicles over 3.5 Tonnes under a Standard National and International Operator’s Licence.
This qualification is also useful if you wish to act as an external Transport Manager or a Road Haulage Consultant.

A basic understanding of Road Haulage Transport Operations is preferable but not essential

To act as the nominated Transport Manager on a Standard National and International Operator’s Licence, you need to gain the OCR Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage.
You need to pass both R1 and R2 OCR examinations
to be awarded this qualification.

The 2 OCR examinations are as follows:
R1 – Multi choice (Can be taken either as a paper exam or online exam).
R2 – Case Study can only be taken as a paper exam.
These 2 paper exams (R1 and R2) can be taken on the same day.
OCR schedule the R1 and R2 exams 4 times a year
(March, June, September and December).
The results are published by OCR 6 weeks from the exam date.

R1 – MULTI-CHOICE EXAM (2 HOURS):

There are 60 questions with 4 possible answers for each question.
You need to get 70% (42 questions) right to pass this exam.

R2 – CASE STUDY EXAM (2 HOURS 15 MINUTES):

There are 60 marks available for this exam.
You need to get 50 % approximately to pass this exam.
This is a written open book exam.

The online R1 exam is more flexible and can be taken anytime at
RTI Training’s OCR approved online premises.
The online result and exam feedback are both published immediately.

You don’t need to take or pass both exams at the same time

OCR CPC Transport Managers European Recognised Qualification to NVQ Level 3.
Some training days may count towards Driver CPC Periodic Training at a small additional fee.

You will get a full colour delegate text book covering every subject in the syllabus.

Each of the modules has a revision page as well as a sample question section to help you revise and test yourself.
