Course content:
Unit 1 Work safely using the cognitive behavioural therapy framework
Unit 2 Work within the structure of the cognitive behavioural therapeutic relationship
Unit 3 Work with difference and diversity within the cognitive behavioural therapeutic framework
Unit 4 Work within the structure of the cognitive behavioural therapeutic framework to provide user-centred therapy
Unit 5 Work with self awareness in the cognitive behavioural therapeutic process
Unit 6 Work with cognitive behavioural therapeutic theory and skills in the therapeutic process
Unit 7 Work reflectively as cognitive behavioural therapist
Client work requirements
Opportunity to work with at least 3 clients using the CBT model
Supervision requirements
Includes group training supervision in addition to the learners own arrangements for their external work as per BACP/BABCP minimum requirements.
Course structure:
A minimum of 120 guided learning hours, taught over 40 weeks at 3 hours per week
Assessment procedure:
Assessment for this formal qualification is via portfolio and externally assessed case review (3,000 â€" 3,500 words)
