3. Entry requirements NOTE: You will only be accepted on the course by an essential interview with a member(s) of the Counselling Team. You must also bring a copy of all certificates (from other training organisations and colleges) to the interview. You need to be 19 years of age or over and hold: - An Introductory Certificate in Counselling of a Minimum of 30 Hours, OR - Relevant Occupational Experience. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method You will need to complete a Learning Journal throughout the course. Assessment will involve self, peer and tutor assessments. There will also be a practical skills assessment. Towards the end of the course you will be externally examined on your ability to identify Level 2 Counselling Skills and you will need to complete a Candidate Learning Record.
