On the 19 September, we will be running a CPD day to look at pharmaceutical supply chain mapping.
The course is designed for: Qualified Persons/Trainee QPs, Quality Assurance Managers, anyone responsible for Pharmaceutical Quality Management and Supply Chain / vendor management professionals.
The course will provide information on where a supply chain map is required, the level of detail expected by the regulators, possible templates to use and how to sustain the process for ongoing oversight.
There is now a requirement for a Marketing Authorisation Holder to have full, documented knowledge of the supply chain for their pharmaceutical product from Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, through excipient sourcing, manufacturing, packaging materials, and all distribution steps through to reaching the final customer/user. Frequently asked questions include:
Which department should be responsible for the supply chain map?
Does it have to be a diagram?
Where do I file the supply chain map?
How do I keep the supply chain map up to date?
What must be included in the supply chain map, how do I assess the risk?
How do I ensure the QP has access?
How do I find all the information, e.g. sub-contractors?
