DEBORAHS MOST POPULAR COURSE! '3 Day in-depth Fused Glass Crash Course'
Make at least 12 projects! £220 inc all materials, refreshments & 2 course lunch 10am - 4pm
1st day -what will I learn? Lots! All the basics of glass fusion inc: easy glass cutting, creating shapes, slumping, safety, tools & how to use frits & stringers. What will I make? Glass lace, coasters, a small free standing sculpture. In the afternoon you may choose to make a bowl, vessel or panel [this day is the same as our intro day - please see above]
2nd day -What will I learn? Fused glass 'hints & tips' Starting out with Kilns, care & use, preparation & programmes! Inc handouts. We will also go through vital temps for full, tack fusing & slumping your glass. Problem solving! You will learn how to incorporate glass paints, enamels, draw with frits & how to add or remove bubbles in your work....love or hate them!
What will I make? 3 slumped bowls or wall tiles, candle bridge & jewellery components
3rd day - What will I learn? Kiln carving adding relief/embossed textures to your work, manipulating glass noodles & how to incorporate your beautiful glass lace from day one! What will I make? Tryptic: Your set of 3 wall panels will incorporate all the skills learned from your last 2 days inc kiln carving techniques. Time allowing please feel free to create extra samples of work, jewellery cabochons, mini houses etc........feel free to have a play here :)

About this course
The objective of this course is to give the complete beginner a comprehensive insight into the world of fused glass including hands on projects but with a easy brief on the technical side of working with glass.
Complete beginners to intermediates
None other than closed toe shoes or trainers, sleeves which can be rolled back and enthusiasm.
