Creative Textiles

If you enjoy finding ingenious ways of combining different materials into beautiful compositions of colour, texture and surface pattern then this Creative Textiles course is for you.

The course offers you a tempting amount of freedom to create your own designs inspired by textiles in their widest sense. I will start the day off by showing you different examples to give you ideas, inspiration and a starting point. This will lead into sketching your ideas before launching into making them a reality.

We will base our creations around a wooden picture frame. I have a choice of sizes that can be bought at cost price so you can choose to make a single large design or multiple small ones

Some experience of design, machine sewing and hand stitching will be useful but is not essential. Beginners are made welcome and I will spend as much time with you as possible to ensure you do not get 'stuck' and are able to make the best use of your time with me.
