Course programme
Providing training in the most up-to-date methods of crime scene forensic theory and practice, this course includes practical laboratory sessions as well as the opportunity to participate in field exercises, role-play scenarios with police staff and forensic projects, including obtaining forensic evidence and presenting in a court of law.
Our dedicated scene-of-crime enables you to gain lots of practical experience in replica crime scenes, including household and pub settings.
You will learn from experienced police and forensic science officers, as all of our lecturers have invaluable industry experience. In addition, you will gain real-world insight through guest lectures from industry experts.
As well as modules in forensic chemistry, anatomy, physiology and criminal justice studies, the programme also covers practical modules such as forensic photography and practical crime scene investigation.
Successful completion of this course can lead to the third year of the BSc (Hons) Forensic Science at London Metropolitan University.
This course sees almost 80% of graduates gaining employment within law enforcement and the Criminal Justice System.
