Day 1: MONDAY
Time 09:30 to 11:00 Lesson 1: Cubase Introduction.
Launching Cubase, Setting Up a Template, Setting up input and
output busses , Exploring the interface and windows, Navigating the Song, Zooming, Creating Window Sets and Key Commands
Time 11:15 to 13:00 Lesson 2: Recording Audio.
Recording Audio Digital Audio Recording Settings, Recording a Single Instrument, Recording Additional Takes, Recording Takes in Cycle Mode, Recording Multiple Tracks, Recording Additional Takes on Multiple Tracks, Punching in and out (Auto and On the Fly), Adjusting Recording settings and Adjusting Metronome Settings.
Time 13:45 to 15:30 Lesson 3: Editing Audio
Editing Audio Deleting Unused Audio Files, Importing Audio Files with the Browser, Comping Takes, Using Fades and Crossfades, Resizing an Audio Region, Moving an Edit Point, Cleaning a Noisy take, and Using the Sample Editor.
Time 15:45 to 17:30 Lesson 4: Recording MIDI.
Recording MIDI Using Software Instruments (VSTi), Quantizing a Recording, Using External MIDI Hardware, Merging New Recordings, Recording Additional Takes, Layering Instruments, and Splitting a Keyboard to Control Two Instruments.
Time 17:30 to 18:00 Recap and Question and Answer Session.
Day 2: TUESDAY
Time 09:30 to 11:00 Lesson 5: Editing & Programming MIDI.
Editing and Programming MIDI Importing MIDI Files, Editing in the Piano Roll Editor, Editing MIDI Continuous Controller Events, and a MIDI Recording.
Time 11:15 to 13:00 Lesson 6: Programming Midi Drums.
Programming a Drum Beat, Editing Velocity and Accents, Groove Manipulation.
Time 13:45 to 15:30 Lesson 7: Manipulating Tempo and Time Stretching.
Manipulating Tempo and Audio warp real-time
processing, Adjusting a Song’s Tempo to a Loop, Adjusting a Loop’s Tempo to a Song, Tempo Changes and Curves, Time-stretching Audio, Time-stretching MIDI.
Time 15:45 to 17:30 Lesson 8: Arranging the song
Arranging the Song Using Play Order.
Time 17:30 to 18:00 Recap and Question and Answer Session.

Time 09:30 to 11:00 Lesson 9: Mixing Part 1
Mixing Preparing for Mixing, Using the Mixer, Using the Audio Pool, Using Plug-ins, Using Folders, Groups and FX Channels.
Time 11:15 to 13:00 Lesson 10: Mixing Part 2
Freeze, Exporting your Mix, Burning a CD and Bouncing Individual Tracks.
Time 13:45 to 15:30 Lesson 11: Automating Part 1
Automating Modes, Recording Automation, Editing Automation.
Time 15:45 to 17:30 Lesson 12: Automating Part 2
Automating Modes, Recording Automation, Editing Automation.
Time 17:30 to 18:00 Recap and Question and Answer Session.
Day 4: Thursday
Time 09:30 to 13:00 Your Time
Spend some time looking around the town of Warwick, maybe even visit the Infamous Castle.
Time 14:00 to 15:30 Lesson 13: Troubleshooting Cubase Part 1
Troubleshooting Cubase Getting Sound Out and In, Getting MIDI Out and In, Recovering Deleted Audio or MIDI Regions, Reading the System Performance Meter,
Time 15:45 to 17:30 Lesson 14: Troubleshooting Cubase Part 2
Basic Computer Maintenance Steps, and Adding Third Party Plug-ins.
Time 17:30 to 18:00 Recap and Question and Answer Session.
Day 5: Friday
Time 09:30 to 11:00 Putting it all together Part 1
We will use this time to pull all you have learnt together. You will have time to play with Cubase and explore the software and create a new composition.
Time 11:15 to 13:00 Putting it all together Part 2
We will use this time to pull all you have learnt together. You will have time to play with Cubase and explore the software and create a new composition.
