Full description

Over the course of 12 weeks, we'll look at how education impacts on healthcare delivery and professional development.

You'll learn in a number of ways – including seminars, tutorials, presentations and workshop activities – and produce an essay which considers the elements that contribute to curricular and structural concepts of learning and teaching, in relation to your own professional role.

Combined with Core Concepts in Learning and Teaching, this module provides the award of PG Cert Medical and Healthcare education, and meets various professional requirements, including:

  • associate/GP Trainer status
  • NMC stage practice teacher, alongside the separate module MOD003703 STAGE 3 Practice Teacher Consolidated Practice (f you're a health visitor or school nurse who wishes to gain NMC stage 3 practice teacher status, you must also be enrolled on this module)
  • Associate Fellowship or a Fellowship of Anglia Ruskin and the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
