CURTAIN MAKING / SOFT FURNISHINGS
This course is aimed at students who have some experience of curtain making and creating soft furnishings or who have completed Course 1. In this course you will learn the skills required to create, hang and dress a variety of hand sewn curtain headings including Goblet heading, Pinch pleat, Box Pleat, Tab Tops and Eyelet Headings. We will discuss interlinings and learn how to use to interline curtains. We will look at creating valances and ways of adding trims, decorations and borders to curtains, valances and cushion covers to create interesting design variations. All equipment and materials for samples are provided. Further materials, linings and haberdashery for projects can be purchased on site.

If you have a window at home which you would like to curtains for, please bring sufficient fabric as you will be able to complete a project on this course.
