Postural and core stability. The nervous and energy systems. How to maintain health, safety and welfare. safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. How to programme safe and effective exercise for a range of clients, the health benefits of physical activity and the importance of healthy eating. How to communicate with clients effectively, and motivate clients to adhere to an exercise programme. Suitable for: Anyone wanting to work in the health and fitness industry.

Become a Fitness Instructor (gym) with CORE Fitness Education and start a new exciting chapter in your career in the Health and Fitness Industry.
This course is designed, written and delivered by a team of sports scientists, academics, specialist instructors, educationalists and experienced personal trainers.
All students study the anatomy, physiology and other theory modules as E-learning. This is done through a variety of interactive videos and resources. Students work at their own pace and have their educational supervisors for constant support throughout.
Students are expected to then attend 2 weekends of face to face teaching.
The weekends will be used to consolidate the learning from e learning and focuses mainly on the practical aspects of the course.
As well as the ongoing assessments and coursework, there will be an assessment day on which the written paper and practical assessment will be undertaken.
Students will cover:

How to maintain health, safety and welfare in a variety of fitness environments, including the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults
How to programme safe and effective exercise for a range of clients, the health benefits of physical activity and the importance of healthy eating
How to communicate with clients effectively, and motivate clients to adhere to an exercise programme
The skills and knowledge required to plan and prepare a gym-based exercise programme with apparently healthy adults - both individuals and groups. This may include young people in the 14-16 age range, provided they are part of a larger adult group. Client groups also covered are older adults, ante and postnatal clients and disabled clients provided the relevant contraindications and key safety guidelines are observed
