Any business generates data about customers, suppliers, products, orders and more, and this can quickly become unmanageable. Learn how to manipulate and analyse it effectively with MS Excel.

What will I study?
Creating graphs and charts Data analysis in business need not be rocket science. By displaying data visually, even a straightforward pie chart or bar chart can bring your data to life. Starting from a simple level, we will gradually build more complex graphs and get to know some of the enhanced chart design features of Excel 2007. This will include editing existing charts and generating trend lines.

But what if... ? Will sales increase by 5% or 25% next year? Can we drive our production costs down by 5% or will they increase by 10%? Business decisions often need to be based on factors like these where we can only make an educated guess at the answer. We will look at ways of creating and viewing different scenarios in Excel with one or several variables.

Bringing it all together Learn how to consolidate data from different worksheets and workbooks in one place for easier analysis, then summarise it using the redesigned Pivot Table options in Excel 2007.
