Course programme
Young Film Academy (YFA) is the UK's leading filmmaking provider for young people aged 8-18.
We run filmmaking workshops for UK arts Organisations, including the Guardian Hay Festival, CBBC’s Me and My Movie, The Edinburgh International Film Festival, The Minghella Film Festival, The High Tide Festival, The Leeds Young Peoples Film Festival, the Barbican and the London Children's Film Festival. We are also providing the majority of tutors for the Tate Aardman Movie Project.
Our workshops use digital filmmaking technology readily available to young people and teaches them how to become filmmakers in their own right from a younger age than many would think.
Young Film Academy’s mission is simple: to get young people aged 8-18 making films. The future of the British film industry depends on it.
The Sequel is a unique practical filmmaking event for up to 100 students who have completed the One Day Film School and want to take their filmmaking skills to the next level.
The sequel builds on skills already learned and introduces students to challenging new areas such as sound recording, editing, music and effects, to create professional results. students shoot, edit and post produce their own films, which cam later be distributed via the schools intranet or virtual learning environment.
