Course Title: Dealing with Disclosure

Overview:

The course will benefit all carers who work with children and young people in all child care settings.

It will explain how carers should respond to disclosures of abuse.

Course Content:

The course covers:

  • How children inform you that they have been subject to
    abuse or neglect
  • Different methods of disclosure
  • How you should and should not respond to being told
    that abuse or neglect is happening
  • What you should do after the disclosure
