Full description

This online module is aimed at professionals ranging from decontamination technicians to decontamination leads. It aims to educate and inform evidence-based practice that encompasses the decontamination of reusable invasive medical devices. We'll facilitate your learning via a distance learning approach that will allow you to acquire the appropriate knowledge and skills to understand the process of medical device decontamination for reusable invasive medical devices.

As well as exploring the decontamination process, our module will look at preparation for the environment, and explore local and national policies and regulations relating to health and safety, such as the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) and Reporting of Injuries, Disease and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR).
