Course Overview
Introductory course in Decorative Metalwork learning the skills of the Silversmith and the ideals of the arts and crafts movement: Students will be introduced to arrange of practical skills applicable to both jewellery and functional pieces. Developing skills and understanding of basic
tools and methods of manufacture using gilding metal in this introductory course, students will also be advised of appropriate suppliers of silver and sources of other materials, semiprecious stones and tools, along with suggested reference books etc.
