DEFIBRILLATION (AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATION)
This course teaches participants the skills and knowledge needed to provide care for adults experiencing sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Also to learn how to use the AED pads on child victims between the ages 1-8 or less than 55lbs.
COURSE CONTENT
- What defibrillation is and how it works
- The causes of sudden cardiac arrest.
- The role of CPR in cardiac arrest.
- How to use an AED, including precautions when in use.
CERTIFICATION AND ASSESSMENT
The Course is assessed by through multiple choice question paper and practical AED-CPR assessment. Successful candidates are awarded a CRW Training Ltd certificate that is valid for 3 years.
The fee's quoted for this course are "per person" for individuals attending our public/open courses or "Group" for training of up to 12 delegates delivered "in house" (at your venue).
