This is a short course in Basic Life Support (B.L.S). The aim of the course is to enable all learners to deal with an unconscious casualty who is breathing and an unconscious casualty who is not breathing. This course gives the Learner the necessary knowledge to arrange equipment and call for the Emergency Services when required. This is a 4 hour course consisting of theory and skill stations and it covers 2 hours of Basic Life Support incorporating Heart Conditions and 2 hours using the Automated External Defibrillator (A.E.D).

About this course
This course is suitable for anyone interested in furthering their emergency first aid skills.
There is a practical and theory based assessment and continuous evaluation throughout. All learners deemed to have reached the required standard will be issued with a Defibrillator Operators certificate which is valid for 12 months.
