Course programme
This qualification meets the requirements of the GDC Legislation. Successful completion affords entry on to the Statutory Register. The course will cover core areas including Health and Safety, Cross Infection Control, Anatomy and Radiography.
Dental nurses help dentists with all aspects of patient care, from simple check-ups to advanced specialist treatment. Good people and teamwork skills, as well as a calm and reassuring manner are required.
Classroom activities and work based assessment to produce a portfolio of competence. In addition to a portfolio, candidates will also undertake an external written examination “The Award in Dental Nursing”.
Please note we are now able to offer full time and part-time dental apprenticeships.
Entry RequirementsApplicants must be employed as a Dental Nurse. Achievement at Level 2 (i.e. GCSE A*-C) in English and science.
