This course is designed and delivered to be learner focused, as well as covering the knowledge required to complete the City and Guilds based assessment. The course will enable you to design electrical installations, taking into account external influences and customer specifications. You will gain a greater understating about how protective measure are applied in electrical installations.

How will I study?
The application of theory and legal aspects of electrical design, verification of electrical installations. Selection of wiring systems to suit external influences. Cable calculations using information from BS7671. Required documentation for electrical installations. Applied protective measures.
How will I be taught?
Simple clear PowerPoint presentations. Group discussions. Step by step calculations. Example exam scinarios. Videos.
How will I be assessed?
Written exam set and dated by City and Guilds. Design project. To be completed in your own time (Some class time will be devoted to this) It is recomended that you allow at least 40 hours fro this project.
