Course programme

What is creativity? What makes some people more creative than others? How can you improve your ability to generate original ideas and solutions? This beginners course will give you some tools that will help you to learn how to broaden your scope for ideas. Through practical exercises you will explore different directions, unlock your imagination and expand your horizons.

There is a myth that artists and designers just wait passively for inspiration to come. They don't. They work at it.

Topics covered

  • Many different approaches for generating ideas are explored in an atmosphere that is stimulating, enjoyable and supportive.
  • The techniques are examined through slide shows and talks, and then put into practice to tackle various creative projects.
  • Participants will work individually and in groups to aid the flow of ideas.

You will leave with the confidence to experiment with unusual solutions to challenging situations requiring a creative approach.
