MSc Digital Media
About the programme
The MSc in Digital Media is a unique programme of study that addresses the growing need for professionals able to design novel solutions using digital technologies.
The degree programme consists of six taught modules and a substantial personal project researching a digital media related area. The taught programme is delivered over two semesters, providing intermediate qualifications - postgraduate certificate (60 credits) and postgraduate diploma (120 credits). The third semester (during the summer) is dedicated to project development.
Course content
The programme of study is organised under the following three study themes, namely:
- Internet Technologies
- Internet Applications Development
- Digital Media Design
Each of the themes is aligned to a different knowledge and understanding objective of the programme.

Further module information
The dissertation projects often include research into novel interface paradigms, mixed media presentation and web application development. In addition to the practical work you will also write a substantial dissertation. Students often select projects in areas related to their future employment goals.
