Content
Focusing on linear and interactive media design, you will develop your digital media skills whilst working with industry-standard applications.
This course is aimed at providing a synergy of skills used in a digital context. You'll be assessed on project development which will include an integrative project that allows the knowledge you have gained to be used within an application of a digital design solution. The objective of these activities is to underpin your knowledge and provide a strong platform for creative development.
Structure
Year 1
You will be introduced to specialist skills in digital media design, interactive media design and multi-media practice. Core studies include contextual, personal and professional development. Personal and professional development provides support and guidance in managing learning, information research and written project work, whilst contextual studies allows for investigation of the key components of digital design.
Year 2
Focussing on developing the technology side of linear and interactive media design, Year 2 core subjects include further exploration of digital environments through contextual studies. In addition there are classes in research methods as well as the opportunity to explore elective subjects outside of the digital framework.
Year 3
Offering the opportunity to explore enterprise and multi-media, core subjects include contextual studies and personal and professional development. The major component is the practical application of a digital artefact with a supporting dissertation.
Assessment
