Are you looking for a gentle introduction to your digital camera?
The aim of the course is for you to gain more confidence in your ability to use your camera:
• No prior knowledge or experience is required.
• There are no more than 6 people in the group.
• The approach is relaxed and the pace is informal.
• Progress is at your pace and there is always opportunity to revisit topics if necessary.
• Jargon is translated into plain, straightforward language.
If you have invested in a ‘decent’ camera but use it just to ‘point and shoot’ and if you like the sound of the above approach, then this course is for you.

Don’t take my word for it - this is what the participants say:
“Must commend you on the excellent photography workshop last Saturday.
Worth every penny and an excellent tutor in Tony O'Connell. I would recommend it to anyone.” - Keith
“Really excellent workshop today; Tony is a great teacher, made it all really accessible and enjoyable and I have learnt loads.” – Emma
“Loved the content and approach of the whole course; location was great and the small number of people attending made it feel almost like a one-to-one. The biggest thing I learnt was how much I didn't need to learn about modern digital cameras in order to get off the auto setting. Definitely less is more in this case. Highly recommended.” - Bob

I am a practicing photographer covering a wide range of subject matter. I am the in-house photographer for Leeds Grand Theatre and Leeds City Varieties. I love to share my passion with others to help them to take better pictures and have many years teaching experience. Students, describe me as warm, friendly and supportive. I have a relaxed and informal approach and like to encourage participants to build on their knowledge and experience – almost everyone knows much more than they think they do and improve most when they are enjoying themselves!
