Good introduction to basic video production and editing. You†ll make a short film and learn all about the post-production process in particular.
About the Course
You will study the main elements of film production from planning a story to storyboarding and filming, but it will focus mainly on the post-production element of film making. You will be using the non-linear editing program Adobe Premiere Pro. You will learn how transitions and effects work and when they are best used.

The course is assessed through a portfolio of coursework. This will include:
• A short film
• Reflective diary or production blog outlining your progress on the course
Are there any resources to obtain?
It is vital that you have good IT skills. It is useful if you have your own video camera but not essential.

You will need to purchase mini DV tapes. You can buy them directly from the college at £2.
