Course Description

Modules Studied:
- Carry out safe working practices
- Use information and details to effectively communitcate with others and estimate quantities of resources
- Understanding building methods and technology
- Thin joint walling and masonry cladding
- Construction of basic cavity wall structures
- Construction of basic solid walling structures, including attached and detached piers
- Interpret drawings and set out masonry structures

Attendance Modes: Day
Assessment: This course is unit-based with candidates completing portfolio work, unit end tests and practical tasks, in order to gain the qualification. There will also be portfolio and/or end tests in Key Skills, including IT.
Progression Routes: You can continue your studies onto a Level 3 Diploma or move to a work-based vocational course if employment is secured.
