Course Description
The Level 2 Diploma will give the students the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare surfaces ready to receive finishes. The course will equip the student with the theory and practical skills to enable them to progress to Level 3 or employment.The Level 2 Diploma is a nationally recognised qualification based on standards set by industry to define the competences required for employment. The Level 2 will advance your skills and knowledge to enable you to progress within the industry.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs Grade D, incl. English. (Maths D for some courses). Or Pass in Level 1 Vocational Qual., Merit for BTECs, plus Key Skills Level 1 Comm. (App. of Number for some courses) or equivalent. Diplomas require Functional Skills in ICT, Maths and English.

  • Apply paint systems by brush and roller
  • Apply standard papers to walls and ceilings

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: A range of methods will be used, including assignments and continuous practical assessment, wiith the addition of external testing and portfolio work. Key Skills Level 2 in Communication, Number and IT are also required.

Progression Routes: Painter and Decorator, trades foreman and progression to The Construction Diploma Level 3.
